Burger King Headquarters

Sometimes it takes a 4,000-speaker sound system to quiet things down. This is the sound of silence.

Burger King Corporation Worldwide Headquarters

Miami, FL 1995

After the original building was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew, a new, more open Burger King headquarters was soon underway. Featuring an open floor plan, the new environment presented unique sound challenges, as even the quietest conversation would carry throughout the building.

Pro Sound designed and installed a 4,000 speaker sound masking system that imperceptibly raised the sound floor in the building by 9 decibels. Specifically tuned to independently enhance the functional ability of every space in the structure – conference rooms, open spaces, offices and cubicle areas – the system provided privacy and enhanced productivity under the guise of an air conditioning system gently whirring away in South Florida.
