Walt Disney Concert Hall

Reinforcing perfection while camouflaging technology.

Walt Disney Concert Hall

Los Angeles, CA 2016
Home to the LA Philharmonic and designed by architect Frank Gehry, this stunning architectural landmark features state-of-the-art natural acoustics. The challenge for Pro Sound became how to reinforce the near-perfect acoustics of the room at a level of sophistication befitting such an architectural masterpiece.

Pro Sound installed an integrated sound system that disappeared into the environment, then upgraded that system several times to keep pace with advancing technology. The 2016 update features new main speakers, time-aligned to evenly deliver bright, articulate sound to each of the 2,700 seats. Additionally, the team upgraded microphones and monitors to give the musicians greater clarity.
