Miami International Airport

This frenetic travel hub runs on technology and communication, we’re proud to empower both.

Miami International Airport

Miami, FL 2008

America’s second-busiest airport for international travelers was operating on a communications system from the 1960s. That is, until they called Pro Sound.

The team installed and programmed a new IED system that could expand with the renovations happening throughout the facility. To help accommodate this growth, engineers programmed the system into zones that allow greater flexibility than the hardware was originally intended to provide.

Every new speaker now monitors itself to ensure functionality, and also works with both the public address and emergency systems for greater efficiency and improved clarity.

A unique cabling and amplification design enables a drastic reduction in cabling throughout the already mammoth – and still growing – facility. The team accomplished this feat working side by side with construction crews, simultaneously bringing each new area online as construction was completed.
